What is Ludlow Castle Comedy Festival?
Ludlow Castle Comedy Festival is the first large-scale open air comedy festival to take place at Ludlow Castle. Comedy will run continuously throughout the day with an MC in between sets.

What are the age restrictions?
Due the likelihood of strong adult language, subject matter and themes, entrance is restricted to those 16 and over. If anyone in your booking looks younger than 16, please remind them to bring some ID. Refunds are not available for tickets purchased by or attempted to be used by persons who are not provided access due to their age.
What is the postcode pre-sale?
Residents with postcodes SY7, SY8 & HR6 are entitled to an exclusive 24-hour pre-sale when a limited number of tickets will be released ahead of general sale.
What are the different ticket types available?
Premium Admission Seated ticket
Includes:

Priority Access Lane

Premium Hang Out Area located in the Historic Inner Bailey with Private bar products and food offerings

Premium Toilets

Exclusive access to the front block of seats, closest to the stage. Please note, these seats are unreserved.

Chairs will be provided
The ground in the inner bailey is of varying levels and can be difficult to navigate, therefore these tickets are NOT suitable for customers with mobility issues.
General Admission Seated ticket

General Admission Standing ticket
This a standing area and no camping chairs, rugs, stools or other furniture will be permitted within the venue. This ticket allows standing toward the rear of the venue only.
Accessible Viewing Platform Ticket
For wheelchair and mobility scooter users and those who for medical reasons are unable to stand at all during the show. Chairs can be provided in this area for those who need them and there are accessible toilets in this area.
This ticket comes with a complimentary companion, supporting documentation will be required - please see access section for more information.

Accessible Ambulant Seated Area Ticket
A ground level seating area for those who for medical reasons may need to use a seat at some points during the show. This area is not a viewing platform. Chairs will be provided for those who need them and there are accessible toilets in this area.
This ticket comes with a complimentary companion, supporting documentation will be required - please see access section for more information.

Accessible Standing Ticket
This ticket is fully standing within the general admission standing area. There is no seated access, includes use of all accessible facilities except those in the Accessible Ambulant Area and on the Accessible Viewing Platform.

Will I be able to sit with my friends?
All seated tickets are unreserved. If you wish to sit with friends we advise that you arrive together to best secure seats next to one another.

What items are prohibited?
Your safety at Ludlow Castle is paramount and we continuously liaise with the appropriate authorities to ensure robust security measures are in place. In order to ensure this is a safe environment mandatory bag searches will be carried out and we may search you, your clothing or other items.
Several items are prohibited, these include but are not exhausted to:

Food & Drink – should you need to bring an item of food or drink with you due to medical or religious requirements, please contact the event organiser prior to arrival.

Can I bring in a refillable water bottle?
Yes, refillable water bottles are permitted but they must be empty upon arrival. They should be no more than 500ml and should be plastic.
Can I leave the castle once I have entered?
No, pass-outs are not permitted. Once you have left the site there will be no re-entry.

What is the restoration levy?
The restoration levy, an additional £1.00 on the ticket price, goes directly to Ludlow Castle and is invested exclusively in projects that would otherwise not be possible.
What if it rains?
Ludlow Castle Comedy Festival is an open-air event, please plan for the weather. Small personal umbrellas are permitted but large golf umbrellas are not.
